Huawei Consumer Business CEO Richard Yu said on Weibo today that the world’s first mass-produced model with Huawei’s 5G technology – the BYD Han, will be officially unveiled via an online launch on July 12.
Technology including HUAWEI HiCar, 5G, and mobile NFC car keys will be unveiled alongside the new car’s launch.
According to BYD, Huawei’s 5G technology will be applied to the in-car smart entertainment system and DiPilot smart driving system. With Huawei’s 5G technology, BYD Han’s many smart features and services will be worth waiting for, the company said.
The BYD Han became available for pre-order in April this year at a pre-subsidized price of 230,000-280,000 yuan.
