Chinese electric car company Xpeng Motors (NYSE: XPEV) says 97% of P7 owners have already upgraded to the latest in-car system within just 10 days of launch.

Xpeng has achieved OTA for the entire vehicle through completely independent research and development, and all ECUs of the P7 are 100% upgradable, with powertrain, automatic driver assistance, body electronics, infotainment and other controllers all upgradable online, the company said.

On January 26, Xpeng’s most powerful OTA was launched. The upgrade covers various modules including autonomous driving assistance, full-scene voice, music cabin, application ecology and user car habit setting. More than 40 new functions were added.

At the same time, NGP Auto Navigation Assisted Driving (public beta version) is available to users, which can display 360° view angle around the vehicle, environment simulation, speed limit warnings, construction reminder.
