Chinese auto giant Geely Auto sold 3,787 NEVs in April, down 33 percent from 5,657 units in March.

Geely’s sales of all cars in April were 100,331 units, down 5 percent from a year ago and up 0.3 percent from March, according to an announcement by the company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Geely’s sedan sales in April were 41,115 units and SUV sales were 58,897 units.
The Lynk & Co brand sold 19,021 units in April, up 87 percent year-on-year.
Geely exported 8,578 units in April, an increase of about 96 percent from the previous year.
In the January-April period, the company sold 433,907 units, up 39 percent year-on-year, and achieved 28 percent of its full-year sales target of 1,530,000.
In April, China’s auto industry sales were estimated at 2.173 million units, down 13.9 percent from March and up 5 percent from a year earlier, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said in a report released May 7.
China’s passenger car sales rose 7.1 percent in April from a year earlier, while commercial vehicle sales fell 0.1 percent from a year earlier, the report said.
From January to April, cumulative sales in China’s auto industry are estimated to have finished at 8.657 million units, up 50.3 percent year-on-year.
From January to April, China’s passenger car sales rose 51.6 percent year-on-year, while commercial vehicle sales increased 46.2 percent year-on-year.
