GAC Aion said it received more than 23,000 orders in October, exceeding the 20,000-unit threshold for the first time.
GAC Aion, the new energy vehicle brand of GAC Group (HKG: 2238), said today that the Aion family of models sold 13,189 units in October.
That’s up 112 percent year-on-year, but down 2.9 percent from September.

The Aion models received more than 23,000 orders in October, exceeding the 20,000-unit threshold for the first time, the company said.
The increase in GAC Aion orders was mainly contributed by the Aion Y model, which exceeded 10,000 units in October, the company said on October 27.
GAC Aion was founded in 2017, and in November 2020 GAC announced that the Aion brand would operate independently and unveiled the Aion Y model, an all-electric SUV.
In April 2021, Aion Y was officially launched. So far, GAC Aion has launched four Aion models – Aion S, Aion LX, Aion V and Aion Y.
GAC Aion today officially announced the Aion Y 2022 model, offering 410km, 500km and 600km NEDC range options, with a starting price range of RMB 109,600 ($17,130) – RMB 157,600.
