Four of Nio’s (NYSE: NIO) eight models saw slightly longer wait times, while two others saw shorter wait times.

The electric vehicle (EV) maker currently sells the ES8, ES7, ES6, EC7, EC6, ET7, ET5, ET5 Touring, with the first five being SUVs and the last three sedans.

Wait times for the ET5, ET5 Touring, EC7, and ES8 all went from 2-3 weeks previously to 3-4 weeks today, according to Nio’s vehicle configurator information monitored by CnEVPost.

Wait times for the ET7 and ES7 have been shortened from 5-6 weeks to 4-5 weeks today. On December 12, wait times for these two models went from 4-5 weeks to 5-6 weeks.

The wait time for the other two models, ES6 and EC6, remains unchanged at 2-3 weeks, making them the Nio models with the shortest expected delivery dates.

The ES is Nio’s regular SUV lineup, the EC is Nio’s coupe SUV lineup and the ET is the sedan lineup.

The ES8 and EC7 are currently the highest-priced Nio models, with starting prices of RMB 498,000 ($69,850) and RMB 458,000, respectively, including the battery.

The ES7 starts at RMB 438,000 and the ET7 at RMB 428,000, while the EC6 starts at RMB 358,000 and the ES6 at RMB 338,000, and the ET5 and ET5 Touring at RMB 298,000.

Nio will hold Nio Day 2023 in Xi’an, Shaanxi province, northwest China, on December 23, where it will unveil its flagship sedan, the ET9, which could be priced at more than RMB 1 million, making it the highest-priced Nio model.

The new model will be a low-volume car, but could be a halo car that brings excitement to the brand, Deutsche Bank analyst Edison Yu’s team said in a research note earlier this month.

Nio management has previously suggested that the company won’t launch or deliver a new model in 2024, meaning deliveries of the ET9 may not begin until 2025.
