BYD Yuan Family electric SUV continues to prove its global appeal, with over 1.5 million units sold worldwide. This milestone, shared by BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) on Weibo, reflects the growing demand for compact, smart, and affordable EVs.

Models in the Yuan Lineup
The Yuan lineup belongs to BYD’s Dynasty Series, one of its two core EV collections alongside the Ocean series. Currently, it includes:
- Yuan Plus Smart Driving Edition
- Yuan Plus Honor Edition
- Yuan Up Smart Driving Edition
- Standard Yuan Up
Notably, the Yuan Plus is BYD’s first global model, marketed in overseas regions as the Atto 3. It’s already made successful entries in Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

The Yuan Family has gained momentum due to its competitive pricing:

May 2025 Sales Performance
According to CnEVPost’s June report, the Yuan family recorded 31,711 units in May, ranking fifth among BYD’s over 20 models. While it reflected a YoY drop of 21.18%, it still demonstrated solid demand.
In the first five months of 2025, Yuan sales totaled 165,284 units — a 22.99% YoY increase, representing 9.37% of BYD’s total sales.
