The Zeekr (NYSE: ZK) brand saw its 500,000th production vehicle roll off the production line, marking a milestone for the Geely premium electric vehicle (EV) unit.
The vehicle — a Zeekr 009 Grand MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) — rolled off the production line today at Zeekr’s factory in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, according to a press release.
This marks 44 months since the first production vehicle of Zeekr’s first model, the Zeekr 001 shooting brake, rolled off the production line in October 2021.
Also today, the 500,001st production vehicle of the Zeekr brand — a Zeekr 001 — rolled off the assembly line.
The average price per vehicle for the Zeekr brand to date is nearly RMB 300,000 ($41,750), according to the press release.
The Zeekr brand delivered 18,908 vehicles in May, bringing its cumulative deliveries to 492,794 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
The delivery of Zeekr’s 500,000th vehicle may take several more days, considering factors such as logistics.
The Zeekr 009 series delivered 1,552 units in May, while Zeekr 001 delivered 2,375 units.
Zeekr 009 is a 6-seat/7-seat MPV model, initially launched on November 1, 2022, and began deliveries on January 15, 2023.
On April 19, 2024, Zeekr launched Zeekr 009 Grand, targeting business owners and CEOs. It is a more luxurious four-seat variant of the standard Zeekr 009, initially available in a single trim.
On April 19 this year, Zeekr launched Zeekr 009 Grand Collector’s Edition, an even more luxurious version of Zeekr 009 Grand, with a starting price of RMB 899,000.
The standard version of the Zeekr 009 currently starts at RMB 439,000, while the Zeekr 009 Grand starts at RMB 789,000. The Zeekr 001 currently starts at RMB 259,000.
Zeekr’s other models include the Zeekr X compact SUV (sport utility vehicle), Zeekr 007 sedan, Zeekr 007 GT shooting brake, Zeekr 7X SUV, Zeekr Mix mini van, and Zeekr 001 FR sports car.
In the third quarter, Zeekr’s full-size ultra-luxury flagship SUV, Zeekr 9X, will be launched, the company said today, reiterating the previously mentioned timeline.
Zeekr is also expanding into overseas markets, having already entered over 40 countries and regions.
The Zeekr 7X was officially launched in Hong Kong on June 26 and is expected to become a new benchmark for family vehicles in the region, Zeekr said today.
The Zeekr brand and Lynk & Co have been integrated into Zeekr Group, with the integration completed on February 14 this year.
Geely announced on May 7 that it had submitted a non-binding offer letter to Zeekr, proposing to take the unit private.
